Elysian Conversations Episode 2

Publishing books in this Time and Age

Poetry writing comes full circle

All pursuits of creation follow a pattern— to witness that seed of thought growing roots, spreading its branches and lending nature with its desired denouement to be savoured by all.

When a gardener with his soiled hands pushes a seed inside the soil, he does that with lot hope,
Hope that one day the seed will see the light of the day, that one day that little plant will mature to bear flowers and fruits.

As it goes for a writer, sitting to write every day is planting that seed not knowing if it will ever grow into that plant of their desire bearing its fruits and flowers in the form of a paperback or a hard bound.

To talk a little more on this, today I am joined by my friends and writers Priyanka Srivastava/ Shomsubhra Banerjee who found ways to offer that delectable outcome to the world to be enjoyed by all and sundry.

In this episode they talk about their challenges of publishing their poetry compilation, vanity publication and realities of publication industries today.
