Water is considered a fundamental of five world elements

To abstract is to draw out the essence of a matter. To abstract in art is to separate certain fundamentals from irrelevant material which surrounds them.” –Ben Shahn

Water, Toyam or Apah in sanskrit, is considered a fundamental of the five world elements (Panchamahabhutas), and is associated with creation, purification, and the life-sustaining force, where it lends 55-60% of itself in composing a human body.
Through this work my attempt is to highlight the beauty and magic this earth element holds in its shimmery gold, resplendent silver or quiet shadows, creating a melodious symphony coursing through earth’s veins, a never-ending sap giving life to living.
In this world where Wastage and Scarcity is spoken in the same breath, this project is an attempt to remember the gift of this element, its music and healing.

Abstract photography challenges the viewer to see beyond literal representations, focusing on elements like color, shape, form, and texture to evoke emotions and invite unique interpretations. It transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary by emphasizing these abstract qualities, often leaving viewers questioning what they see. This genre utilizes photographic equipment, processes, or materials to create images that don’t immediately resemble the physical world.
As amateurs little do we know what an ignored frame can tell about nature.
A painter-per-excellence-nature surprises you, messes with your ideas and vision and holds you in wonder.
While working with these photographs I felt every one of these emotions and the more I delved deep trying to touch the last molecule, I realised it is nothing new that we do when we create, but put a firmer lens on nature’s art for us to stay in awe and disbelief.
The longer you look at an object, the more abstract it becomes, and, ironically, the more real
