Cherrapunji touted to be the Wettest Place on Earth

A remote location of Meghalaya, sanskrit for ‘Abode of Clouds”

“Color is descriptive. Black and white is interpretive.” Elliott Erwitt

Meghalaya, sanskrit for ‘Abode of Clouds’ is a small state in the north-eastern part of India. Loaded with nature’s resplendence, found even on roadsides has two points of visit–the sleepy town of Shillong, the Capital for the state and Cherrapunji, touted to be wettest place in the world, recording a rainfall of 1,17,777 mm.
A visit in the month of April, which is generally a dry season, do leave you parched for rain, but does not leave you dry on its scenic beauty.
These are random clicks around the place which I decided to edit in grey to give shape to a new Shillong and Cherrapunji, visualised through my eyes….

Because I could not stop for Death, he kindly stopped for me –
The Carriage held but just Ourselves –And Immortality.
--Because-i-could-not-stop-for-death, Emily Dickinson
